My name is Matt Kopec and I'm the owner/operator of WHITTIER MARINE CHARTERS. Since the age of nine, the water has been my passion and I've been on a fishing quest. There is no place I'd rather be.
I hold a U.S.C.G. Master's license, I'm first aid/CPR certified, and I have many, many days of experience plying Alaskan waters. I know Prince William Sound and the Northern Gulf very well. I also have a background in marine science, a degree in wildlife biology, and I've worked as a fish and wildlife researcher for a number of years.
When I'm not in the boat, I enjoy many other outdoor activities.
